Position: Front-End Developer Practicum

This year, Autovance is excited to offer a 200-hour practicum position on our front-end development team through Lethbridge College’s CIT program.

Autovance Technologies is a Lethbridge based software startup that builds and supports a desking and F&I menu application used by hundreds of dealers across Canada and the US. We’re looking for a practicum student who is eager to learn the ins and outs of creating intuitive, robust web applications for the automotive industry.

Position Responsibilities

– working closely with the front-end development team to define features and design user interfaces
– writing automated unit and end-to-end tests to ensure quality
– applying iterative development techniques to create working software
– implementing and maintaining user interface components for both desktop and mobile browsers
– maintaining and improving finance, lease, and insurance premium calculation logic

Required Skills

– you have some experience with building web applications and a demonstrated desire to learn Angular and TypeScript
– you have a keen eye for design and care deeply about improving the usability of digital products
– you are looking for hands-on mentorship and a fast-paced learning environment
